Carly Rae Jepsen出身於加拿大，參加加拿大的歌唱比賽’’Canadian Idol’’而廣為人知(那陣子大家真的很愛選秀節目)，雖說沒有得到第一名(成績為第三名)，但在他聽起來似乎甜美的歌聲裡帶點叛逆的精神，讓他在美國樂團很快的就出了第一張專輯Tug Of War，之後又發行了新EP''Curiosity''，而她在美國串起的原因是因為小賈斯汀與他的Girlfriend(Selena)在Youtube上傳了以Call me maybe作為背景音樂拍攝了非常有趣的影片，所以這讓Carly Rae Jepsen一下就變成所有少女搜尋的對象了(笑)…
